Induction of two members and an excellent presentation by the Hope Fire Company Fire Chief Brad Carter and President, Steve Gumba.
Feb 7 Business meeting 7:45 Allentown Methodist Church.
Feb 2-8 Valentine auction week
Feb 8 Valentine auction ended at 8:30pm. Thanks for another successful auction and for supporting Lionism in the Allentown area. A special thanks to the committee and all Lions and family members who helped with this event.
Feb 9 11:00am - 1:00pm All auction items need to be picked-up at the Allentown United Methodist Church's Community Room, 23 Church Street. Checks made out to "Allentown Lions Club".
Feb 21 Dinner Meeting, Millstone Elks Lodge. Review of Valentine Auction and 2007-08 Officer Nominations - 1st reading. Gather 6:45pm & dinner @ 7:00
March 6 Annual trip to the Katzenbach School was very rewarding. Thanks again, Lion George, for all of your efforts with this state-wide eyeglass recycling project.
March 8 9:00 - 11:00AM Clean-up Farmer's Park, Lakeview Drive area with the scouts. Thanks Lion Brian Williams and your family.
March 15 Our Annual Easter Egg Hunt. 9:00am sharp @ Dr. Farmer's Park, Lakeview Dr. Come on out and meet the Easter Bunny.
March 20 Membership Night, Dinner Meeting, Millstone Elks. Gather 6:45pm. A night to bring out prospective members. 2007-08 Officer Nominations - 2nd reading.

April 17 Dinner Meeting, Millstone Elks. Gather 6:45pm with dinner at 7:00pm. Bring a potential member and show them what Lionism is all about.

May 26 Annual Allentown Memorial Day Parade sponsored by our Club.
Begins 10:00am with the Memorial service following the parade at the Elementary school war monument.
June 1 Helen Keller Day

June 6 Free Movie Night, Byron Johnson Park 8:00pm. Drinks, popcorn and pretzels will be sold. No alcoholic beverages allowed. Bring your blanket and lawn chairs and enjoy an evening of family fun.
June 19 Installation of Club's 2008 Officers & Spouse's Dinner,

November Dinner meeting's
special guest speaker, Greg Barkley, President
of Barkley Engineering, LLC.  Greg presented a short educational talk and
fielded questions on testing, design and permitting of residential and
commercial waste water systems.

 

October saw our Annual C. Edward "Pop" Rockhill Memorial Golf Tournament at Gambler Ridge Golf Club.
It was a fabulous event with many thanks to all the staff of Gambler Ridge, Lion Bob Peppler, King Lion Keith Becker,
and the entire Golf Outing committee. Also, thanks to all of the hole sponsors and over 100 golfers for supporting Lionism.
